"Mammoth Mountain"

Living in Los Angeles you don't see snow much. When we took a trip to Mammoth lakes to enjoy the snow and "real winter" I could not miss the opportunity to paint there so that I can really be in the moment. I did this painting Alla prima on the spot in the morning light while the ski line was still free of people. The sun was shining bright and the air was nice and fresh. It was a great morning.

The painting was done using professional artist-grade oil colors on Ampersand Gessobord (Premium wood surface) and it measures 6x8 inches. The panel is 1/8 inch thick and will easily fit into most picture frames. It could be displayed as it is as well.

This is a one-of-a-kind original work signed on the front.


Please note even though I photo my paintings in sunlight to show the colors as accurately as possible slight variation in color may occur due to different screens settings.
